This policy covers the Niyyah iPhone app (“Niyyah”, “the app”, “we”, “us”). By using Niyyah you agree to the practices described here.
None that leaves your device. Niyyah has no servers of its own and no user accounts. We never see your prayer history, streaks, qada counts, or settings. Specifically, Niyyah does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, contacts, or any personal profile, and contains no third-party tracking SDKs.
If you grant location permission, Niyyah uses your location only on your device to calculate accurate prayer times and the qibla direction for where you are. Your location is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is not stored beyond what the app needs to show your times. You can use the app without location by entering your city manually, and you can revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings.
So your data survives a lost phone and stays in sync across your devices, Niyyah can store your records in your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. This data lives in your personal iCloud container — it is controlled by you and your Apple ID, and we cannot read or access it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can disable iCloud for Niyyah in iOS Settings.
Prayer reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device by iOS. Niyyah does not run a notification server and does not know whether or when you receive them.
Niyyah Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. All payments are processed by Apple; Niyyah never receives your name, card, or payment details. We only receive an anonymous confirmation that an entitlement is active.
Niyyah is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Because your data is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud, you are in full control of it. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; you can also remove its iCloud data from iOS Settings → your name → iCloud. We hold nothing to delete on our side.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in a future app update.
